Katie + Eamon were married at The Tythe Barn near Bicester in Oxfordshire.
The Tythe Barn really is a gorgeous wedding venue with beautiful grounds and we were lucky once more that the sun made an appearance so we could enjoy an outdoor ceremony. Katie and her bridesmaids had been getting ready at the Tythe Barn so it was a short walk through the courtyard to the ceremony.
Katie + Eamon had written their own vows to one another and when they turned out to be almost identical, it was clear these two are on the same page. They promised to always laugh and smile together and so they did, all day long. It was a lovely thing to see and that joy spread throughout the wedding.
In the afternoon we enjoyed a cracking roast dinner carved by “volunteers” from each table. The table football was busy as matches broke out and an excellent magician, Jake Banfield, left guests gobsmacked as he wandered the rooms.
Awesome scenes on the dancefloor as everyone let loose. Fuelled by some great covers by The New Tones, the party was in full force right to the very end. A particular stand out moment was a slight change to the Fountains of Wayne classic and we can confirm that Katie’s mom, has indeed, got it going on!
At the end of the night, Katie + Eamon headed off to the shepherd’s hut through a sparkler exit. Still smiling, still laughing.
