FAQ

‘How much?’

Fill in our contact form with all the details and we’ll get back to you ASAP to let you know our prices and if we're available on your big day!

We live in Scarborough, on the North Yorkshire coast aka Britain’s first seaside resort! We travel all over the UK to shoot and can discuss going further afield as we love adventures!

‘Where are you based?’

As soon as you can, peak summer dates (April – October) can get booked up to two years in advance. We often get multiple enquiries for the same dates and we operate on a first come first served basis.

‘How soon do we need to book?’

‘Do we need to pay a booking fee?’

Yes, please. To secure us for your big day we ask for a £500 booking fee to confirm your date, with the balance due one month before your wedding.

‘What if we don’t like having our photo taken?’

Yep, we feel you, we’re the same! We don’t make you do anything cheesy, nothing that we wouldn’t want to do. We get you close and let those wedding day vibes take over to make you forget we’re even there and capture the magic. If you want to do a test run we can always do a couple shoot for a few extra pennies and show you there’s nothing to worry about.

‘How many photographs do we get?’

For a normal full day wedding, at least 500 images. As there are two of us shooting we cover more angles and make sure you only get the good stuff with no blinks or duplicates! All killer, no filler!

Yep. Two for the price of one! Two perspectives, two heights, two places to be, we capture as much of your big day as possible between us!

‘Do both of you shoot our wedding?’

Of course, travel within the mainland UK is included in our price.

‘Do you travel outside of Yorkshire?’

Yep, we realise they can cut into your day and take up valuable party time. We recommend no more than 8 groups to ensure all the guests are happy and no one is kept away from the bar or canapes too long! We like to have a full list (with names) before the day so we can get them done as quickly as possible to ensure you’re not kept waiting around when you could be hugging your friends and drinking fizz!

‘Do you shoot group shots?’

‘How long do you stay?’

We don’t offer packages by the hour as we like to stay all day and into the evening, which is usually 8-10 hours. This is usually from getting ready to well into the party. That way you get to know us and you relax, which makes for better pictures.

‘Do you edit our photographs?’

Yes. Emma is the editing one and spends a lot of time ensuring all your images are edited in our ‘Emma + Rich’ signature style.

We do you a sneak peek on our Facebook page/blog within a week and send finished gallery within 8-12 weeks.

‘When will we get our photographs?’

We send you a link to an online gallery which you can share with friends and family. You can download everything that’s here and they are YOURS to print and put on social media, marshmallows etc…

‘How do we get our photographs?’

Yep. Love is love. We’re LGBTQ+ friendly, all colours, creeds, races and backgrounds are welcome.

‘Do you shoot LGBTQ+ weddings?’

‘You can fix that in photoshop, yeah?’

Generally no, as we shoot in a documentary style we don’t like changing reality, you are your own person and that’s what makes you so special.

‘Are you insured?’

Yep, of course. Us and our kit and public liability – the works.

‘Who owns the copyright?’

We do. We provide you with a print release so you can print your photographs, share them online and make albums. This doesn’t cover other use such as other wedding suppliers so please get in touch if your florist/venue wants copies of your images for commercial use.

‘Do you need feeding on the day?’

Ideally yes. If we’re staying all day and into the night, a hot meal would be really appreciated. We don’t shoot too much while people are eating and it gives us a chance to have a break and recharge our batteries ready for the evening! Sometimes venues don’t allow us to eat our own food on the premises and having to sit in the car with a pack-up means we might miss something cool.

Your booking fee is usually non-refundable (depending on if we re-book the date) and depending on how close your date is your balance may also be due. We recommend getting good wedding insurance just to make sure everything is covered.

‘What happens if we cancel our wedding?’

One of us would have to be seriously ill or some other very serious circumstances happen to not be able to shoot your wedding. We take our job very seriously and you guys are our most important thing in the world. We have a great network of photographers available to us should we need to arrange cover and if we are unable to arrange this we will, of course, offer a full refund.

‘What if you’re ill on the day?’

‘Do you just shoot weddings?’

Nope, we also love shooting everything from couples to families, parties and commercial work. As we shoot in a documentary style we offer on location or in-home shoots and capture you as you know best.

‘This all sounds awesome, how do we book?’

FANTASTIC, we would love to know more about you both and the plans and schemes for your big day. Have a good look through our website and fill out this form and we will be in touch. After we’ve done this we will send you over a booking form and contract. Once we receive these back with the booking fee – you’re all booked in and we’ll be shooting your wedding!
