We ran a competition last xmas for one couple to win their wedding photography. The ever so lucky winners of that competition were Loz and Tom who were married at the start of June in Oxford. We made a week of it and ended up shooting two other weddings that week, another Oxford wedding and Lynette and James down in Devon. There will be a post coming soon with more about that week of adventure and the magic that is Airbnb!
Tom’s parents own an antique shop and Tom got ready there with his family, Loz got ready with her bridesmaids at home while Nola the pooch was being dog sat until after the ceremony. Loz and her bridesmaids made their bouquets from wildflowers that had been picked the day before by Loz’s mum. Tom met Loz outside Oxford Registry Office and they walked into the ceremony together. Once married we all headed back to Tom’s folks place where the back and garden of the antique shop had been transformed into an awesome reception venue. All the decorations had been homemade and Tom’s mum had spent a year growing flowers so the garden looked extra beautiful.
The food. Well me and Rich are still talking about it, the best wedding food we have ever had. The Olive Branch in Witney provided the most amazing and totally VEGAN buffet that had most people heading for seconds and even thirds! The cake, from Piece of Cake, was so moist and also vegan, Loz and Tom who are both vegan wanted to make sure their special day was totally them – I think they pulled it off amazingly well!
Nola the pooch came to help celebrate for the afternoon as did loads of Loz’s relatives from Italy and it was all just blooming lovely. Everyone was smiling all day and there was SO MANY HUGS. By the end of the day we felt like part of the family and were a little bit sad to be going home. Thanks again Loz and Tom for letting us be part of your special day!
