So, this one might be a long one, so sorry in advance.
Back in 2015 I went on a training thing, Photography Farm. One of my goals at the end of this was to rebrand and get in a proper illustrator. I bought wifi on the train on the way home and started searching for someone who would get me. I found someone and kept going back to them over and over, Flossy and Jim based in Brixham in Devon. I loved their work and it was the only one I could see doing me justice (was just me at the time). On the last leg of the train home the man opposite me was reading a travel brochure on Brixham and I saw it as a sign. It had to be them.
I contacted them and we ended up nattering and discovering they were perfect for us – resulting in one awesome logo. Rainbow haired Emma was the new face of my photography business. Richard’s face came later and the 2nd rebrand to Emma and Rich was complete at the start of 2016.
Fast forward to early 2016 and I see from social media they’re getting married. I had a talk with Richard and offered our services to capture their wedding. Having seen loads of them and their family and pets over the last year I knew it was gonna be an awesome wedding. Just four guests on the day, six including us and a chilled day full of love and smiles was on the cards!
So we drove from Scarborough to Brixham to shoot their wedding! Starting in Brixham, followed by a ceremony at Cockington Court, lunch at Visto Lounge in Tourquay and then back to Brixham for a photo with the pups and a few more epic photos before a well earned sandwich from the Asda in Paignton for supper! Lynette’s children were dressed as a Fox and a Dragon and her brother had an inflatable T-Rex suit and we totally had to include it in their photographs! There were awesome pug and dragon cakes from Asda too which made pretty damn perfect wedding cakes! Oh and we even stopped by the seagull mural, painted by the happy couple to get some photos with all their hard work!
This is how a wedding should be, all about the love and focussing on what’s important.
We made a little video of their day which you can see below, otherwise scroll down to see what their day looked like in photographs!
