The Venue, Halifax Wedding Photography – Lauren + Joe

Lauren + Joe tied the knot at The Venue in Bowers Mill, Halifax. Gorgeous.

When people get in touch with us it’s always fun hearing all the things they have planned. ‘Tower of mince pies’ and ‘ homemade hooch’ certainly caught our attention when we first spoke to Lauren + Joe about their big day. Oh and along with ‘ our dogs will be there, is that OK?’. Yes. That is very OK.

What we didn’t know until the day is that we had been headhunted for this particular wedding. It turns out Joe’s Dad had seen us in action at Laura + Andy’s wedding back in 2017 and had been keeping tabs on us ever since.

Christmas Eve Eve arrived and we cranked up the Christmas tunes in the car and headed to Halifax. The weather was cold and the sun was nowhere to be seen but inside The Venue was cozy and warm. The lights were on way down low and the music was way on up!

Mince pies, hooch, Uncle accordion, Ukrainian dancing, loads of toasts, and dogs. It was a brilliant day and a fantastic way to see off the hectic wedding season of 2021.
