Scarborough Pub Wedding Photography – Leanne + Dave

Do you know what? we have a proper soft spot for a Scarborough pub wedding. Because that’s exactly how we got married back in 2009.

Leanne + Dave were married in Scarborough Registry Office before heading off to the Albert Pub to celebrate with all their friends and family.

This time Emma started the day in the hairdressers with Leanne and the girls while Rich got to chill till it was time to head to the registry office to meet Dave and all the guests.

We’ve gotten to know all our local registrars really well over the last few years, so shooting at home is a proper treat. We know the ceremony is going to be heartfelt and special and this was no exception. The ceremony was followed by hugs and photos in the gardens and then it was off to the Albert pub for more hugs, Jägerbombs, speeches, a buffet, and karaoke. We love a good buffet and this one did not let us down. In fact, one of the buffet shots below is framed and hanging on the wall of our editing room at home!

After everyone was refueled with sausage rolls and little crispy prawn and chicken bites it was karaoke time. We’ve not been to karaoke for ages and we don’t think we’ve ever seen so many people want to go first. We particularly enjoyed it when Leanne + Dave’s first dance was followed by Nakatomi’s Children of the Night and the entire pub descended onto the dance floor. If you’re a certain age and from Scarborough, you’ll know that song better than anyone else in the world. 😉

We had an amazing time capturing Leanne + Dave’s day and especially enjoyed being able to walk home via the kebab shop. There’s nowt quite like a Scarborough pub wedding!
