Primrose Hill Wedding Photography, The Princess of Wales – Dawn + Guy

Dawn + Guy were married at The Princess of Wales Pub in Primrose Hill, London.

There were a fair few nerves for Dawn before the ceremony. It’s an odd thing, you could have been together for years, even living together in your own home. You know 100% that you want to get married and that your friends and family will all be there to cheer you on. Nothing to be afraid of, just a day to celebrate your love. And yet; even knowing that nothing quantifiable is going to change, something does when you say those vows and the excitement and nervous energy can sneak up on you.

Fortunately, Dawn had an all-star bridal squad with her to make sure she ate and to wipe away the tears. It always warms our hearts to see friends taking care of each other like that.

Guy was a bit more relaxed as he welcomed guests to his home and challenged all comers to a game of pinball. (A spare bedroom set up as a pinball arcade is goals.) Even then, as rings were being slipped on fingers, we noticed a slight tremble. This day clearly meant so much for this couple and it was beautiful.

The entire event took place in The Princess of Wales pub and after an intimate ceremony and speeches, everyone relaxed and headed downstairs to meet the reception guests. We took a few photos on the streets of Primrose Hill, being careful not to bump into any of the Porsches, and then it was party time.

We sort of fell in love with this venue. The food and drink flowed non-stop throughout the evening and it was all so good. Dawn ruled on the dancefloor as Guy took charge of the hired Pinball machines and ensured that trays of shots circulated the bar. By the end of the night, everyone was well fed, well watered and well loved up.
