Georgia + Sarah had their wedding day in the grounds of The Plough Inn, Hathersage.
We’d been looking forward to Georgia + Sarah’s wedding for a while. A few weeks earlier they’d given us a tour of some their favourite street art in Sheffield for a Love Shoot and we decided that they are just the best.
After getting ready in the steel city it was a short drive into The Peak District to The Plough Inn in Hathersage. A triple tipi was nestled in the valley behind the pub. A large lawn and the tree-lined river Derwent provided a gorgeous location for the ceremony. Outdoor weddings can be a bit of a gamble in the UK but we had bright sunshine for this summer solstice wedding. The ceremony was led by a close friend and the ladies got their mums involved for added loveliness.
We all enjoyed an epic pie and mash dinner with the compulsory Henderson’s Relish (I don’t think you’re legally allowed to use any other sauce in Sheffield) before it was party time. A friend sang the song for the first dance and they even had a specially composed tune just for their wedding.
If I had to pick one word to describe the day it would be warmth. From the sun that shone late into the evening to the love these two have for each other. It was a hot one.
Here are a few of our favourite shots from the day:
