Derby Winter Wedding Photography – Anna + James

Anna and James tied the knot in Derby, at the lovely Kedleston Country House.

What a glorious day this was. Weddings, for us, are all about the wonderful people and the love in the room. This was definitely one of the days where there was plenty of both, which kept us busy snapping till the very end!

We always try to tell our couples that one of the best things you can do on your wedding day is to spend the day together. You often spend the morning apart and can easily get swept away from each other as the day goes on and you meet and hug all your friends and family.

We’ll tell you why we say this, the pictures look at least 10% more awesome. Just like the ones below. These two didn’t need telling, they love the bones of each other, which makes our job really easy as they spent the day in each others arms!

After the ceremony there was confetti, canapés and some time to chill before dinner. Oh for the record, any wedding that serves toad in the hole is fine by us. After dinner came some heartfelt and funny speeches, followed by the dancing.

Anna + James had a plan and a playlist. They’d asked their friends for requests, then turned those requests into an epic playlist which went through the decades from the 50s/60s up to almost today. There really was something for everyone to dance to. We loved this idea and watching the dance floor fill up as each new song came on was a real treat.

Later on in the evening the newlyweds treated their guests to a pretty epic firework display and a hog roast. Wedding perfection. It was our first time in Derby, we liked it, we think we’ll come back.
