Ellie and Adam tied the knot at St Martin’s Church in Scarborough before heading off to York House in Malton for the party.
We like shooting at St Martin’s, the vicar’s always lovely and does a great ceremony. Plus, all that ye olde writing on the back wall looks like something out of Indiana Jones which is cool. We even got a few songs from a school choir which was organised by some of Ellie’s teacher friends. They finished with a surprise rendition of “I Will Follow Him” which you might remember from the end of Sister Act. Nailed it as well!
The reception was held at York House in Malton which has recently been refurbished into a snazzy new wedding venue. You can check it out here. You’ve got the beautiful old house for the reception drinks, canapes and chilling out. Then there’s the massive marquee and grounds for the main event. Great grub too.
Ellie and Adam had arranged loads of top entertainment for their guests. At dinnertime, a magician was mingling with folks and blowing minds and then, after the first dance, Back Chat Brass burst through the doors. We’d been warned about this little surprise and had been looking forward to it for ages. They’re an excellent party band and alongside the DJ, kept the dance floor jumping.
