Becky + Antony had their wedding at the beautiful Whitley Hall Hotel in Sheffield.
Sheffield’s got a lot of hills, hasn’t it? It’s like walking around in an M. C. Escher painting. No matter which direction you go, it’s uphill. You can walk to the top of a hill, turn around and then go up another hill. It’s weird.
Whitley Hall Hotel is neither hilly or weird, it’s a rather lovely 16th-century mansion with four-poster beds, loads of wood panelling and a snug little bar. An ace venue for a wedding between two ace people. The grounds were looking all autumnal and Becky + Antony’s decorations and flowers complimented the settings and season beautifully. We had to hustle to get the portraits and groups photographed as the sun was setting but man, that golden light was lush.
After some speeches and top nosh, it was party time! This crowd knew how to let loose on the dance floor and the DJ worked through an awesomely eclectic set to keep the party alive. We love it when a wedding ends on such a high, it just leaves you buzzing.
