The Bond Company Wedding Photography – Colette + Lester

Colette and Lester had their wedding at The Bond Company in Birmingham.

We had a good look around this venue a couple of months ago when we exhibited at The Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza. So we were especially looking forward to coming back with our cameras. A chance to be all “gritty” and “urban” with our photography. 😉

We met Colette and Lester a few years back at Jess and Paul’s wedding where they were guests. This was their time to take centre stage.

There was a brilliant ceremony with a registrar that kept everything upbeat and fun before we all headed out to the yard to bombard the newlyweds with confetti. Then we did the portraits bit. The Bond Company has loads of little areas where we got to play and make some really cool pictures. We don’t like to take too long though so we were soon back to the courtyard for drinks in the sun.

Afternoon tea followed some rather touching speeches. We always seem to get swept up in the emotions of a wedding day and hide our tears behind the camera. I guess it makes sense that we feel connected to the people we’re documenting, we spend all day watching their interactions and seeing all the feelings bubbling up.

Food, drink, more food, more drinks and then a rockin’ band and DJ kept the dance floor busy until our snapping fingers gave out and we retired to an ace AirB&B we’d found just around the corner. Awesome days like this remind us we have the best job ever.
