Emily and Daniel were married at Stepney Hill Farm, Scarborough before moving on to celebrate at Scalby Community Hall.
In one of our more unusual bookings, Emily and Dan found us after we caught them on camera taking part in the annual Boxing Day madness in Scarborough. We almost turned them down due to us already being booked for a wedding in London the day before but thought what the hell? Sleep is for the weak, we’ll just drive back overnight. As it turns out, we are weak. Three days after the wedding as I write this and I still hurt 🙂
It was more than worth it though. The ceremony took place outside at Stepney Hill Farm. The farm is an old favourite of ours and with the gorgeous views from the wedding gazebo, it really is a beautiful place to tie the knot. After the deed was done it was all aboard the buses to get to the party.
Emily and Daniel’s family and friends are a creative bunch and they’d done an incredible job of getting Scalby Community Hall ready for the reception. This was an awesome D.I.Y. wedding and everyone pitching in gave the whole thing a really cool community vibe. The afternoon’s entertainment was an open mic tent where anyone could go up and play some music. The stars of the show were, of course, the bride and groom. It seemed like half the people there were musicians.
With the sun shining, music playing and everyone chilling out on the grass, this wedding was the greatest picnic we’ve ever been to.
Quote of the Day: “It’s not too late Dan, you can still make a run for it.” Dan: “Are you kidding? I can’t wait to become a Pelucci.”
