Sage Gateshead + Northern Stage, Newcastle Wedding Photography

Carlie and Alan went and got married at Sage Gateshead before heading over the bridge to party at Northern Stage in Newcastle.

Sage Gateshead is a huge arts and exhibition centre that sits right on the Tyne. Its cool modern architecture and creative vibes had us excited for our little visit and Northern Stage in Newcastle is a little theatre on the university campus. Two unique venues in one wedding. Awesome.

The contact form from Carlie and Alan came with a few words and phrases that really caught our attention; “tonnes of fun and love!”, “We’re both pretty non-traditional and quite jokey”, “confetti cannons of Gondor”, “neon rave party”, “epic!”  They sounded like our kind of people from the start. Little did we know. Throughout the day whisky and cocktails flowed, the humanist ceremony at Sage was filled with laughter and love, they took the piss out of each other and snogged like teenagers, Andrew W.K. quotes on the wall, glowsticks and glitter on the dancefloor and non-stop dancing with two insane DJs mixing together everything from Metal to Europop.

We left this wedding feeling like we’d known and loved these two for years. Congratulations you guys. Long may you reign!
