Manorial Barn Wedding Photography – Amy + Simon

Amy + Simon got married and had a big old party at The Manorial Barn in Rotheram.

We were bracing ourselves to do battle with an approaching storm but I guess it didn’t dare rain on Amy + Simon’s parade. The wind was having a blow yet the clouds parted for some sunshine to keep the chill off. The wedding gods smiled on us once more.

It’s kind of amazing that Rich took any photos of the boys getting ready. After been introduced to the comic book room and then spotting all the old school punk and soul records, he could have happily set up camp for the week. Duty calls however and even one of our cameras deciding to play silly buggers couldn’t stop us (this is why we always have several cameras with us)!

When everyone was looking all fancy we headed off to The Manorial Barn. Usually, when you describe a place as being a bit of a barn, you think it’s a little sparse and unwelcoming. The Manorial Barn has to be the cosiest barn we’ve ever seen and all of Amy + Simon’s handmade decorations really made you feel at home. Not bad for an 800-year-old barn.

There were references to Amy’s favourite childhood film, David Bowie’s 80s classic, Labyrinth, throughout the day. When the last song of the night was “Magic Dance”, everybody hit the floor as Amy danced with her dad.

It was an awesome day spent with a great bunch of people and topped off with some brilliant tunes on the dancefloor. What more can you ask for?
