Hertford Castle Wedding Photography – Katie + Joe
Katie and Joe got hitched in Hertford Castle and then we all drove to a field where there was a tipi and an awesome party waiting for everyone!
Hertford Castle is a grand old house and by old we mean 15th century. Although most of the original castle is now just ruins, the massive gatehouse is more than up to the job of hosting a wedding. After the ceremony there were drinks, canapes and time for a few pictures in the grounds.
Then it was back to Katie and Joe’s place or more accurately, a nearby field where a massive tipi had been set up for the reception. A campsite, food trucks and fire-pits gave the day a proper festival wedding feel. There was also loads of room for Ned, the best dog, to run around in.
There was a jukebox playing all day and a kick-ass rock and roll band on the night to keep things swinging. A bathtub full of dancing juice made sure the dance floor stayed busy and when the band did take a break, only Dolly Fricken Parton turned up to do a set. OK, it may have been an impersonator but she was so bloody good we wouldn’t have doubted it if someone had told us they’d actually got Dolly in her prime to come and play.
Such a fun wedding, check out some of our favourite hits:
