Danby Castle Wedding Photography – Caron + Matthew

Caron and Matty chose Danby Castle as the location for their big day and we can’t blame them.

Danby Castle has been sat in the middle of the Yorkshire countryside since the 1300’s. It was good enough for medieval royalty and is still considered a venue fit for a royal wedding today. It’s easy to see why. Gorgeous rooms, great food, stunning scenery, and owners and staff who truly care about making sure you have a special day.  We can’t wait to shoot here again.

This was an especially important wedding for us as it marked the first time a couple has actually moved their wedding date to ensure we could shoot it for them, we were already booked for their original date, so the heat was on!  You can’t go wrong though when you have two people who want nothing more than to be together and have a great celebration with their loved ones.

This couple had kept the venue a secret from their guests, they all boarded coaches that whisked them away towards the North York Moors but the guests also had a trick up their sleeves. Caron owns a dance school so perhaps it shouldn’t have been a surprise when the dancefloor was hijacked immediately after the first dance by a flash-mob of her pupils and friends. They’d been secretly working on a routine in the weeks leading up to the wedding and unleashed their skills with an incredibly enjoyable and rather touching display.

Check it out.
