Bull & Gate, London Wedding Photography – Justine + Liam

Justine and Liam had their wedding at The Bull & Gate pub in Kentish Town, London.

Emma got very excited about shooting here as the pub used to be a live music venue. Not just any venue though, home of Jon Fat Beast’s legendary Timebox Club, a home of indie in the late 80s and well before our time. Well, we were under 10, so not quite old enough. Emma is a massive Carter USM fan so getting to shoot here was very special.

It was a pretty special day for the couple too. The legal necessities had all been taken care of earlier in the week so they were free to celebrate exactly how they wanted to. Booking The Bull & Gate as it was close to home and they wanted a relaxed, Sunday dinner with friends down the pub kind of vibe. The ceremony was led by bridesmaid Elouise and the origami decorations all hand-made by Justine and set up by her sister and husband.

Sticking a few quid behind the bar and having DJ Spotify do the tunes ensured a fun and relaxed wedding day. Although things amped up towards the end of the night when it was realised that we were nowhere near hitting the minimum spend for the bar. Bottles popping at the speed of sound and cocktails been mixed faster than they could be drank. Hats off to the bar staff, they were truly incredible. In fact, everyone at The Bull & Gate was brilliant. We’d recommend this venue in a heartbeat.

Oh yeah! And a Daft Punk inspired first dance. Awesome!
