We had the BEST time shooting Kara and Ash’s Scarborough festival wedding.
So, a long one but totally worth it. Kara and Ash, well turns out I’ve known these guys longer than I thought. I made Kara’s 18th birthday cake back in my cake making days and Rich worked with Ash’s dad for years. We met when we shot Ash’s brother Jamie’s wedding back at the end of 2014 and we had kept in touch ever since.
The order of the day was fun. With Kara and Ash loving music festivals they chose to hold their reception at a local campsite which they booked for the whole weekend. People brought their own booze and slept in the tipis, there was proper fabric wristbands as wedding favours and an awesome party atmosphere!
Kara got ready with her friends and bridesmaids at home, while Ash got ready at his mum’s with his close family and groomsmen. Onto Scarborough’s Registry Office for the legal bit – Kara arrived in style in her Grandad’s Albion wagon. As it had her name on it, it seemed very fitting.
After the super emotional ceremony it was onto the campsite on an open top bus. There was afternoon tea followed by hog roast in the evening and lots of Pimms. Grand Theft Audio were the evening’s entertainment and there was plenty of dancing, I think me and Rich even joined in for a bit of Madness!
Thank you again for letting us be part of your day you guys, it was brilliant!
