There’s something about weddings that really bring all the emotions to the fore. Emma-Jo and Jamie have been together for 11 years, they have their own home and two beautiful daughters. For all intents and purposes, they were already in a marriage. This was just a formality. Yet on the morning nerves were showing. Lumps in throats, butterflies in tummies and tears in eyes revealed that a wedding day is still an exceptional occasion and that’s why we do what we do. We shoot through our teary eyes as we’re caught up in all the emotion and when the deed is done, we enjoy the party and try to make the best pictures we can as everyone celebrates.
Emma-Jo’s band came along to blast out some tunes for the party although the bride took the evening off from singing duties to take centre stage on the dance floor instead. There was also a special guest (emphasis on the “special”) who showed up later in the evening to persuade Jamie to lead the crowd in some top 80s party songs including a conga around the golf club. Ace!
These guys love each other to bits and having their friends and family so determined to have a great time with them made this a brilliant wedding to be a part of.
