Andrew + Adam were married at Ettington Park Hotel near Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire.
Phew. It was a bit of a close one there. The heavens opened above Ettington Park Hotel as guests and even a registrar struggled to get through the flooding to attend Andy + Adam’s big day. All turned out OK though, we only had to wait a little while and the bar was open. We even had some extra visitors as a herd of deer passed by the window to check out the ceremony.
The rain stopped just in time for the confetti run and a few group shots outside. Not that it would have stopped these guys; “We spent two days making those boxes of confetti, we’re bloody using them!” We took advantage of the dry spell to take some portraits in the grounds of this gorgeous neo-gothic mansion. Famously haunted, we were keeping an eye out for any spectres but you know what they’re like, they never seem to turn up when you’ve got a shed load of HD cameras hanging off you.
Some great speeches were made legendary by Andrew’s Mum’s verbal mishap. We shan’t embarrass her here but it was definitely one to remember, in fact, it was a huge SUCCESS.
No confetti cannons allowed in the Long Gallery so Andy + Adam arranged for everyone to launch hand-made woolly pompoms at them after the first dance. The pompoms continued to fly throughout the night and as they were stomped onto the dancefloor, we can’t help but think that confetti might have been easier for the Henry hoover at Ettington Park Hotel to clean up. Ah well, you live and you learn. They were certainly a lot of fun to have around.
Here are a few of our favourite shots from the day…
